The USS Masada hasn’t been heard from for a while so Starfleet command dispatches the Enterprise to investigate.
On arriving in the Beta Myamid system, the Enterprise finds that the Masada has been hjacked by Elassi pirates and it’s a race against time for Kirk to rescue the Masada crew before the Elassi does away with them
