It turns out Dragovich and Kravchenko have been operating outside of Soviet command’s orders and they want to bring down the USA to further their own aims. With this in mind, the US and USSR send a join team in after them.
Hudson leads a joint CIA and Spetsnaz assault on Rebirth Island in and attempt to capture Steiner alive.
Meanwhile Mason has sneaked on to the island hidden in a cargo container and, along with Rezov, plans to take Steiner out.
