With Marathon launching to the public on the 5th of March 2026 the game studio, Bungie, have launched a free-to-play version of the game so that they can stress-test their servers.
Marathon sees you as some kind of disembodied consciousness that are placed into shells – a body that you can control in order to fulfill contracts on an abandoned colony world.
While the game looks good (which is ironic considering the allegations of design theft which delayed the launch which should have happened last year) I do have several issues with the interface, story and game play.
So join me as I take a look at the Marathon Server Slam preview and watch me get gradually more-and-more confused and slowly lose my mind!
